The short version
KKB stores what you put into it, shows it only to the people you split with, and never sells or shares it with anyone else. No ads, no trackers.
What we store
Your account (name, email, and an avatar if you add one), the groups you're in, the expenses and payments you log, payment details you choose to share (like e-wallet numbers and QR images), receipt and proof photos, and a log of group activity. Data lives on managed cloud services hosted in Singapore.
Who can see what
Members of a group see that group's expenses, balances, and activity. Your payment details are shown to people settling up with you. A sponty collect link — and a group's guest settle link, if its owner turns one on — is visible to anyone who has the link, including balances and the payment details of members being paid; share these links only with the people involved. Nothing you enter is public beyond that.
Backups
An encrypted backup of the app's data is made daily, purely as insurance against bugs or accidental deletion. It's never shared.
Emails
We only email you sign-in codes. No newsletters, no marketing.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account any time in Settings. Your sign-in details are removed; your name stays on past expenses so your friends' totals still add up. Deleting a group permanently removes all of its expenses, receipts, and activity for everyone.
